Our Mission
The sole purpose for which EmpowH.E.R, I am HER, Healed, Empowered, Restored Inc. was formed is to empowHER the whole woman. We are women of diverse backgrounds, interests and talents.
Our mission is to give hope for tomorrow and strength for the day. To further our mission our initiative is to empower women, through community based initiatives that seek to uplift and inspire women to achieve their full potential in all aspects -of life, promoting equality, fostering personal and professional development, social networking and a sisterhood of empowerment.
Our Goal
Our goal is to EmpowH.E.R minds through dialogue and fellowship as we radiate hope and enhance the lives of others. Our goal is to build strong fellowships and friendships.
To further our goals we will:
• Provide a social network
• Support women in a particular field
• Build a community
• Create a brighter tomorrow
• Help women unlock their inner power
• Build confidence
• Empower women to Press Forward because "Someone needs you!"
How It All Began
It all stemmed from an inspiration from a two-time cancer survivor. Sharon Robinson, worked and served the Lord and was eager to do more. After her cancer diagnosis, she volunteered and continues to volunteer at The American Cancer Society Relay For Life events. She has been interviewed and written about in the Queens Ledger Newspaper and interviewed on NY1 News. She was the keynote speaker at the kickoff event for the Relay For Life event as well as one of the speakers at the opening of the Relay event speaking in front of over 2,000 people. Sharon on the Community Oncology Alliance committee (COA), a committee advocating for community cancer care networks with experts from around the country to establish connections that aid the goal of providing affordable, high-quality cancer care for cancer patients.
Everyone is a survivor of something whether it is from cancer or life’s circumstances. She felt the push to do more. From that push, a women’s group was ideal. As the name of the group pondered in her mind, she was reminded that women are nurturers by nature, God designed us this way. Oftentimes as women we are always on a mission to serve our families, our friends, etc; it’s our nurturing nature and we put ourselves on the back burner. We are wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces and cousins all working in professional roles and in different capacities. We at times need encouragement and to be empowered to keep going. Understanding her assignment, before the pandemic of 2020 she formed a women Empowering group. The group was renamed and now a Non-for-Profit Corporation - EmpowH.E.R, I am Her, Healed, Empowered and Restored, Inc.
As we come together, we are women serving to empower and to inform. We are women on a mission giving hope for tomorrow and strength for the day. Putting ourselves on the forefront, we are all united with the mission to inspire and nurture the total woman; the mind, body and soul as well as to encourage one another while providing spiritual insight to enhance our lives so that we are able to touch the lives of others.
We are eager, ready, willing and able to serve. So come aboard and be a part of our journey.
